It’s been a while since I last posted on my blog. I’ve been fairly busy with things. I’ll see if I can cover everything without being too lengthy:
Christmas 2011
My girlfriend, Yunjoo, visited from Korea! She stayed with me at my parents house and enjoyed Christmas with the family. It was a lot of fun and she really enjoyed the holidays as well as the family. After Christmas, we went on a trip to Las Vegas, Utah, the Grand Canyon, San Francisco, Sacramento, and then back to Washington. It was fun, but tiring, and we both got sick. We did some more local touristy things and made a lot of Korean food together that we and my parents enjoyed a lot.
Disney World 2012
While Yunjoo was still here in the US, we, my parents, one of my brothers and his family, and also my sister and her family took a week trip to Disney World! It was a lot of fun! Though with all the walking all over the four parks, our feet and legs got very tired and near the end we were pretty exhausted. Everyone but Yunjoo and myself got sick around the last day, and suffered during the week after we got back home.

Getting married!
So, before Yunjoo headed back to her home in Korea, we decided to go look for wedding rings 🙂 Well, we first decided to get married hehe. I wanted to propose to her in a pretty peaceful setting, and thought of the Portland LDS Temple area, but it was closed for some renovation work. So then we went up to Seattle before she flew home, and visited the Seattle LDS Temple. It was raining really hard, but we already had the ring for a couple of days, and so we just found a nice tree in front of the temple that blocked off the rain. I proposed there and after Yunjoo jokingly said “no,” she said “yes!” (I messed up the Korean and more or less said “maybe I should marry you?” oops….) We were planning a September 1st wedding in the US, but because of the crazy process times and rules with getting a Fiance Visa, we decided to go with our original plan of getting married on November 4th in Korea. After Yunjoo gets her Green Card, we’ll have a reception in the US 🙂 There is a lot of time still to plan everything, but it’s also much less stressful going this route of having a reception in the US after.
New job!
After Yunjoo left for Korea, I started really focusing on finding a job. A day or two after updating Monster.com and Careerbuilder.com sites, I was receiving many many phone calls from job recruiters. But the majority of the job requirements did not match my skills, or the job was far away for just a few months contract. I did happen to receive an email from CDI IT Solutions for a Web Author position. I pursued that and was able to get a phone interview, then an in-person interview, and then I started just last Tuesday 🙂 It all happened so fast, and I know God was helping out with the timing of it all. So far I haven’t been able to do any work quite yet because of the training I’m still going through, but it will be a good opportunity, and good to get working again after two years of Korean language study, and a year of freelance, job search, and vacationing 🙂
Still designing
I’ve made some new poster designs and holiday designs that I’ve added to my site over the last months. I still try to squeeze in some creative time to help relax. And, like always, I have a lot of ideas I’m working on, but just haven’t started or finished them yet. After the wedding stuff gets all planned out, I hope to get more design stuff finished, as well as more updates to my website hehe
