so last night after work i stopped off at target to get a couple things, and decided to go to the book store across the street to check if they had any new manga…

i go into the bookstore and head to the manga section. the manga is shelved on both sides of the 3 column row that’s next to one of the main walkways of the store (i hope this description makes sense. i may have to draw a pic of it). so i start looking on the first column of manga and squatting down to see the books near the floor, when this guy seems to walk up fairly quickly to side of the row facing the main walkway. he moved up quickly causing me to glance up at him to see, and i noticed this guy dressed in sweats and looking at me. i thought nothing of it and kept looking at the manga. he then walks around me and stands in front of the third column. i stand up and start to look at the second column and notice he was looking at the second column too. so i decide to give him room while i look. but he still stands there in front of the third column. i noticed from the corner of my eye he kept glancing at me more than the books, and what looked like him putting his hands in his pockets over and over. i think “ok, he’s not moving to check the second row”, so i walk around on the other side of the row to look. i then notice him walking partway around the row on the other side checking books on the wall. he kept turning and glancing at me more. i was squatting down again checking the the books near the bottom rows, and he walks around me again to check the column next to me. he then says “hi, how’s it going?” i reply with “alright” and keep looking at the manga all while noticing from the corner of my eye that he’s staring at me. and he keeps putting his hands in his pockets or something… i didn’t dare look to see if it was something i didn’t want to see :p so i stand up and keep looking, and then walk around to the other side once again to check the columns i missed. sure enough, a few seconds later the strange guy walks around again staring at me again and doing something with his hands… so i think “alright, i gotta get away from this guy,” and i walk over towards the line to pay, but keep walking past towards the magazines. i walk around a couple rows of magazines, and a few seconds later the guy is there on the other side of the row staring at me again :O i glance up to notice him and quickly walk away straight to the line to pay for stuff not looking back. a few seconds in line i glance up just to notice him finally leaving the store. but then i think “i better not pay for this right away in case he’s outside waiting,” so i go back to the manga section to look at all the areas i missed because i was too startled from the strange guy staring at me… luckily once i paid for my stuff he was no where in site. but it kind of gave me a sense of what others have gone through when people stalk them. and the feeling i felt was not fun at all. i can’t imagine how scary it would be having someone stalk me. i’m happy nothing more happened though…
